ARC Gender Retreat
ANEW Hotel Hunter’s Rest,
Rustenburg, Northwest, South Africa
The three days retreat that will be attended by all ARC Agency staff, as well as ARC Ltd staff members, will aim to achieve the below objectives :
- To conduct a Gender audit training for all ARC staff. This is a compulsory all staff annual activity whereby ARC staffs are refreshed on gender and DRM issues.
- To present the Gender action plan for the next five (5) years to all ARC staff for their inputs.
- To have in-depth discussions with the O&E department to plan the second phase of the Bill Gates foundation project.
- To engage staff and brainstorm on the key pillars of the new communication strategy (internal and external), including sharing department profiles and supporting comms elements
The following, are the expected outcomes of the 3 days retreat :
- All ARC staff are refreshed on gender and DRM issues with a focus on gender audit
- Inputs received on Gender plan of work 2025-2029 from ARC staff
- Mapping out of way forward for Gender and O&E partnership in the second phase of the BGF.
- Have an agreed outlines of the new communications strategy
The retreat will be structured in the following way :
Day 1 : Gender Training for all staff and inputs on the Gender department plan of work 2025-2029
Day 2 : O&E plenary and Communications Session before lunch
Day 2 : Parallel sessions : Gender and ESA retreat after lunch
Day 3 : Townhall organized by interim GDG before lunch
Day 3 : Team building sessions in the afternoon
